“Never Ever run after degree, Don’t spend your life for degree, spend your life for knowledge”- this was the message from honourable chief guest Professor Pran Gopal Datta, VC BSMMU in the “Dissemination and implementation meeting on Gastric Cancer Management-National Guideline of Bangladesh”. It was held on 7th May 2014 in the Shaheed Doctor Milon Hall,BSMMU, organized by Department of Surgery, BSMMU,Dhaka and courtesy by SK and F. Prominent surgeon Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman Khan from National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital Presented the paper. “Gastric Cancer is the second most common cause of death worldwide and 1 million new cases of Gastric Cancer per year”-said Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman khan in the occassion and he discussed surgical management of the Gastric cancer.There was a lively discussion after the presentation with the participation of NICRH Director Prof Sheikh Golam Mostofa, Associate Prof Dr Sarwar Alam,Chairman, Department of Oncology, BSMMU and other distinguished Professors and Residents presented at the meeting. Prof Dr Syed Serajul Karim, Chairman, Department of Surgery, BSMMU chaired the session.
World Asthma Day-2014 Celebration and Annual Scientific Conference was held on 7th May in Rupashi Bangla Hotel,Dhaka. Mr Zahid Maleque, MP was chief guest in the conference.
TODAY, the World Asthma Day is commemorated globally to spread the message of creating awareness about asthma management and prevention, with the theme “You Can Control Your Asthma”.
