Anwer Khan Modern Medical College, Dhaka conducted a free medical surgery camp for the underprivileged patients of head and neck cancer on 30th may. The operation was displayed live on multimedia on the campus of Anwar Khan Modern Medical College as a part of a live medical workshop on the head and neck.The operations performed included tonsillectomy, deptoplaty, nasal polyp, FESS, head and neck cancer. The surgeries were done by Prof Md Abdullah President of Bangladesh ENT Society, Prof. M. Alamgir Chowdhury, Prof. Mohiuddin Khan, Prof. Dewan Mahmud Hassan, Prof SM Khorshed Mazumder, Prof. Khabir Uddin Ahmed, Prof. Kalim Ullah, Prof Md Ashraful Islam, Dr Afroza Suraya Majumder, Dr Kazi Md Faruqee Salehin, Dr Sajib Saha, Anesthesia was done by Prof Naimul Haque, Dr Nowsher Alam, Dr Mohammad Sazzad Hossain and Dr Md Sirajul Islam.
At the workshop, students, interns, doctors, teachers and ENT-head neck specialists were present. Experts described the operation procedure to the learners live on camera and answer the queries. Adviser of Modern group Major G Ashraf Abdullah Yousuf, Principal Prof. Fazlur Rahman, Director Prof. Ehteshamul Haque, Prof. Tahminur Rahman, Prof. KMHS Sirajul Haque, Prof. Mahtab Uddin Hasan, Prof. Md Abdul Hannan, Prof. Abdul Wohab Khan, Prof. Sehrin F Siddiqua spoke at the event.BEXIMCO Pharmaceuticals Ltd sponsored the programme.
